TAPS is partnering with the Atlanta Falcons and Head Coach Dan Quinn to honor and recognize fallen service men and women and the families they left behind.

Atlanta Falcons and teams4taps

The Atlanta Falcons will honor our fallen heroes with their full roster during their Salute to Service game on November 12, 2017, when they host the Dallas Cowboys.

The program will pay tribute to the men and women who died while serving in the armed forces, or who died from injuries sustained while serving, in the post 9/11 era. The 64 Falcons players will wear the initials of a Fallen Hero on their helmets who have a family or military connection to the state of Georgia, the southeast region, and/or have a special connection to the Atlanta Falcons.

In addition to game day ceremonies, the Atlanta Falcons and Coach Quinn would like to invite each family to attend team practice on the morning of Saturday, November 11, at the Atlanta Falcons Training Facility in Flowery Branch, GA. This will give families an exclusive opportunity to meet Atlanta Falcons players and coaches. Lunch will be provided.

Participating families will also be provided with a three-night stay (Friday, November 10 to Monday, November 13) for the weekend at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford, GA courtesy of the Atlanta Falcons and Coach Quinn. The Atlanta Falcons and Coach Quinn will also host a special “Welcome Reception” for families at the hotel on Friday evening as well as a Family Dinner at the hotel on Saturday night.

The application for the Atlanta Falcons 2017 Salute to Service has closed. We hope to see you at another teams4taps event in the future!  In the meantime, if TAPS can be of support to you and your family, please contact us at 800-959-8277.

If your family does participate in the event, you will need to provide a high resolution photo and bio of your loved one as well as a family bio for those attending. This information will be shared with media and Falcons fans to educate them on our fallen heroes and this military recognition program.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. If there are more than 64 families interested in the program, there will be a random selection process, which means that some will not be selected. For the selected families, two members from each fallen hero's family will participate in the honor and recognition during the practice and game. If your family does participate in the event, the two family representatives must attend BOTH the practice and game.

2. For the 64 selected families, the Atlanta Falcons and Head Coach Dan Quinn will provide each family with two tickets to the game, three night hotel stay (one room per family), an invitation to private practice on Saturday, November 11 and a special gift from the team. Transportation will be provided between the hotel and training facility on Saturday, November 11 as well as the game on Sunday, November 12.

3. At this time, this opportunity is not available to those families whose fallen heroes have been previously honored at a Salute to Service event with TAPS in the past two years.

If you have any questions, please email teams4taps@taps.org.

We are grateful to our friends at the Atlanta Falcons and Head Coach Dan Quinn for this occasion to honor and recognize our loved ones.
