TAPS cruise

OVERVIEW

This four-night trip cruise to Nassau Bahamas and Perfect Day at CocoCay Private Island aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas.

Check out photos from the 2020 TAPS cruise to see what this trip is like.

THE SHIP

Launch yourself into a virtual world on the Sky Pad bungee trampoline experiences. Gear up for a glow-in-the-dark laser tag faceoff in Battle for Planet Z and indulge your sweet tooth at Sugar Beach. Catch a wave on the FlowRider surf simulator and race down The Perfect Storm dueling waterslides. Independence of the Seas is overflowing with bolder ways to fill your time between shores.

TAPS ON BOARD

We know that healing is found when surrounded by peers who understand. While on board, TAPS will have a variety of programs and activities available for you based on relationship or loss, and we'll gather as a group each evening for a TAPS family dinner. We'll also have a survivor sanctuary, we liken her to  “THE HELM.” It will serve as our home base where you can always connect with TAPS staff should you need any emotional support.

When we reach each port, you'll be able to explore the islands. TAPS will also offer organized group shore excursions that will be announced closer to the cruise.

SCHEDULE

The cruise takes place from Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 17, 2022.

TRIP FEES

Self-funded trips are fully funded by survivors themselves and not covered by TAPS.

Please contact cruise@taps.org for pricing information and cabin availability.

LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION

You'll need to cover the cost of your transportation to and from Orlando, Florida. Please plan to arrive before 10 a.m. the day the ship departs. We highly encourage arrival the night before and will have a hotel option at a group rate if you would like to join TAPS staff. Any flight delays could mean missing the ship.

We'll have lodging on the ship for each night. All staterooms come with two twins that can be converted to a queen bed, private bathroom, phone, closed-circuit television, mini bar and hair dryers.
