All adult survivors 18 and older are invited to join TAPS for our Northern California Wellness Weekend.

The TAPS Inner Warrior Program will help you find and connect with a part of you that’s committed not just to surviving, but thriving. We’ll build resolve and courage and get stronger every day.

TAPS Wellness Weekend

Overview

Sometimes we need to shake things up to get things moving — and that’s exactly what you'll be doing at one of our most unique Inner Warrior Wellness Weekend events yet as you learn how movement can bring comfort, strength and growth.

The Northern California Wellness Weekend will focus on physical and mental agility. Resilience training, a spiritual and emotional cleanse and reset, and workshops on communication and mental flexibility will help you get back some of the clarity you may feel you’ve lost as part of your grief.

Physically, we’ll also focus on body movement: myofascial release, stretching, and fun, dynamic movement that will make you smile as you sweat. In addition to yoga and a Bollywood dance workout, we’ll also do partner agility work that will help you understand how to lend and receive support. With steadfast determination and the support of others, you'll become newly centered in your grief journey.

Your growth won’t stop once the event ends. You'll gain an ongoing community of support with Inner Warrior coaches and peers to keep you inspired, encouraged and accountable.

Schedule

Day 1: Plan to arrive at the Alliance Redwood Conference Grounds after 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 19. We’ll begin with dinner and programming around 6 p.m., but we’d love for you to use the afternoon to get settled in. Our first evening together will be one of fellowship and ceremony, setting the tone for our weekend of movement and growth.

Day 2-3: We'll start each day with several movement options, so you can choose what feels best to you. Throughout the day, we’ll have workshops and workouts, with plenty of time for you connect with each other, relax and become more resilient in body, mind and spirit. We'll also get outside and participate in hikes and other outdoor activities that will spark a sense of adventure and growth. Campfires will round out our evenings.

Day 4: After additional programming in the morning, we'll wrap up our time together around 12:30 p.m.
