State Survivor Benefits For Missouri
War Time Veterans Survivors Grant
ELIGIBILITY
- Children, stepchildren and spouses remarried or unremarried
- Children must be under the age of 25
- Service member must have been killed in action or died of a service connected disability, Suicides are covered provided it can be proved that they were service connected (PTSD)
- The veteran must have been a Missouri state resident at time of entry into service or immediately prior to death. There are no residency requirements for the student
- Can be used with federal benefits
BENEFITS
- Equivalent of full tuition and fees
- An allowance up to $2,000 per semester for room and board
- An allowance up to $500 for books per semester
- Must be used at a Missouri state funded postsecondary institution
- Can only be used for undergraduate degree
- A 25 student limit on the program

- Copy of DD1300 or DD214
- Certification from the Missouri Department of Veterans Affairs
- Wartime Veterans Survivors Grant paper application
Application due date: There is no application deadline, but it is first come first serve and a 25 student limit on the program
