TAPS College Experience for Teens and Parents
The TAPS College Experience for Teens and Parents is a 3-day college preparatory experience held every summer in Arlington, Virginia. Surviving military children who are rising high school Sophomores and Juniors along with their guardians will get the chance to meet with experts in multiple areas of higher education. Students and their guardians will learn critical skills such as writing personal essays, college choice, funding and networking, as well as everything they need to know about the benefits available for college.
FEES
Thanks to the generosity of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, TAPS is able to provide lodging, meals, activities and supplies for all attendees.
LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION
Lodging will be provided in Arlington, Virginia for all attendees dependent on whether selected for either session. TAPS covers the cost of lodging.
Attendees will need to cover the cost of transportation to and from the event. Please do not make travel arrangements until you are contacted after registering.
HOW TO APPLY
Due to the limited availability of space, this is an application based event. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis and approved attendees will receive a call from a member of the TAPS Education Department. All applications received after available space is filled will be placed on a waiting list.
