The TAPS Young Adults Program offers life skills to military surviving children and siblings, ages 18 - 30 years. The purpose of this program is to ease the transition into adulthood for our young adult survivors as we guide them utilizing workshops and hands-on experience in Five Core Pillars: Personal Development, Career Guidance, Financial Stability, Communications, and Service to Others. TAPS is grateful for the generous support from the NFL for the Young Adults Program that provides opportunities to support surviving siblings and children of America’s fallen service members.

OVERVIEW

The TAPS Young Adults Summit, in partnership with the NFL, is a 4-day, 3-night professional development conference hosted at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Young Adults Summit will be an elevated learning experience, introducing resources and hands-on skills within the five foundational pillars. Each pillar of the program is thoughtfully and uniquely engaged throughout the weekend using workshops, hands-on activities, and networking opportunities. With the help and support of the AMB Sports + Entertainment, the Atlanta Falcons, and the NFL, Young Adults will be engaged with the culture in Atlanta, experience activities that broaden their perspectives, learn transferable skills that will help them throughout adulthood, have fun, and share in the joy of connection that stems from being together with your TAPS family.

The Five Pillars: Personal development will be highlighted through learning life skills over the weekend to uplift and maintain physical, emotional, and mental well being while learning how to grow through their grief and as a young adult. Attendees will sharpen their inter and intra communications skills throughout their time together, from conflict resolution skills to team building exercises to networking in a business setting. The Young Adults will have an opportunity to meet with professionals from various career fields to broaden their perspectives and develop a network to guide them on their professional journeys. They will learn financial stability through investment and credit health classes throughout the Summit. The Young Adults will participate in a service project as they continue to be a living legacy through service to others leaving a positive impact on the Atlanta community. Young Adults will also learn from one another, bond, and build a stronger community.
