All survivors and their guests are invited to join us on our self-funded TAPS 7 Night Mexican Riviera Cruise. 

Cruise Health Protocols: The travel requirements and health protocols are constantly evolving and vary by port of departure. OVERVIEW

This is a seven-night trip round-trip cruise from Los Angeles going to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta aboard the Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas.

THE SHIP

TAPS ON BOARD

We know that healing is found when surrounded by peers who understand. While on board, TAPS will have a variety of programs and activities available for you based on relationship or loss, and we'll gather as a group each evening for a TAPS family dinner. We'll also have a survivor sanctuary, we liken her to  “THE HELM.” It will serve as our home base where you can always connect with TAPS staff should you need any emotional support.

When we reach each port, you'll be able to explore the destinations. TAPS will also offer organized group shore excursions that will be announced closer to the cruise.

 

SCHEDULE

The cruise takes place from Friday, January 20 to Friday, January 27, 2023. 

  • Day 1: We'll set sail from Los Angeles at 4 p.m. and cruise to our first destination.
  • Day 2: We'll spend the day at sea, and you'll get to explore the cruise ship's many features.
  • Day 3: The ship will dock at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for the day.
  • Day 4: The ship will dock at Mazatlán, Mexico, for the day.
  • Day 5: The ship will dock at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the day.
  • Days 6-7: We'll spend these days at sea, you'll once again get to enjoy time onboard.
  • Day 8: We'll disembark in Los Angeles at 7 a.m. and say our goodbyes.

 

TRIP FEES

Self-funded trips are fully funded by survivors themselves and not covered by TAPS. 

  • $1,249.00 Balcony Cabin
  • $819.00 Ocean View Cabin (window only)
  • $549.00 Inside Cabin

Prices above do not include the following:

  • Taxes of $138.07 per person
  • Gratuities of $101.50 per person

Deposit is required of $250 per person and a minimum of $500 per cabin.

Payments are 100% refundable per the group rates listed above until October 14, 2022. After October 14, 2022,  prices and cabin availability may change, contact cruise@taps.org for more information.

 

LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION

You'll need to cover the cost of your transportation to and from Los Angeles, California. The nearest airports are Long Beach (LGB), Los Angeles (LAX) or Santa Ana (SNA). Please plan to arrive before 11 a.m. the day the ship departs and after 12 p.m. the day the ship returns. We highly encourage arrival the night before and will have a hotel option at a group rate if you would like to join TAPS staff. Any flight delays could mean missing the ship.

We'll have lodging on the ship for each night. All staterooms come with two twins that can be converted to a queen bed, private bathroom, phone, closed-circuit television, mini bar and hair dryers.

 

REGISTRATION DETAILS

To reserve your spot on this trip, please submit a registration form before October 14, 2022 for best rates. Group cabins are filled on a first come, first served basis. Cabins can be added to the group up until two weeks before sailing, but may be at higher rates.
