Tina Barrett, Ed.D., LCPC
Tina Barrett, Ed.D, LCPC, serves as the executive director and co-founder of Tamarack Grief Resource Center in Montana. Barrett specializes in outdoor-based programming, facilitator training, and strength-oriented grief and trauma care. A licensed counselor, Tina has trained and supervised professionals and peers in compassionate, strength-focused grief support since 1997 with special attention to honoring individual responses to loss and strengthening the family system following trauma. Since 2007, Barrett has been a part of TAPS programming. She has volunteered at national and regional seminars, helped launch the first Good Grief Campout, serves as a consultant and lead staff for outdoor-based youth programs, provides clinical support at the annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp and facilitates leadership seminars.
Barrett serves on the Leadership Team of Western Montana’s Suicide Prevention Initiative and served on the Moyer Foundation’s Bereavement Camp Standards of Practice Advisory Committee. She is a member of the National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC) and the Association of Death Educators and Counselors (ADEC). Tina lives in Missoula, Montana, with her husband, Casey Hackathorn, and son, Ian.
