TAPS Togethers: National Mall Volunteer Service Project
This event is open to all military survivors.
TAPS families are invited to join their fellow survivors for a volunteer service project with the National Parks Service at the National Mall and Memorial Parks to beautify some of America's most iconic memorials to include the Vietnam War Memorial for Memorial Day Weekend. This opportunity is unique and will include programming from a National Parks Service Ranger.

Registration is required: Once you receive your registration confirmation, you will receive additional information for this event. If you would like to register a child for this event, please ensure they are at least 12 years old.
Location: National Mall & Memorial Parks, Washington, D.C.
Parking: See Parking map.
Meet-up Time: 8:45 a.m. Meet your fellow survivors and the National Parks Service on the iconic National Mall.
Upon Arrival: You will meet with TAPS Staff, other TAPS families and National Parks Service Rangers to begin beautification.
Attire: Casual attire. Wear clothes that you are comfortable working and walking in, to include closed toed shoes. We encourage you to wear any TAPS attire and/or a photo button of your loved one as this will allow you to easily locate one another when you are at the event. If you need a TAPS shirt, we will provide one for you.
What to Bring: Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and layers. TAPS will provide lunch.
Note: While this event is open to all ages and accessibility levels, please keep in mind that this is a service project event that will require you to be outside doing light manual labor for its duration.
