TAPS Togethers: Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines
This event is open to all TAPS survivors, both adults and children, who have experienced a military or veteran loss.
TAPS families are invited to meet and connect with one another while enjoying a stroll through the beautiful Des Moines Art Center.
Established in 1948, the Des Moines Art Center exists to engage and stimulate the communities of Greater Des Moines and beyond. The Des Moines Art Center is a museum, art school, and sculpture park open to all.

Registration is required: Once you receive your registration confirmation, you will receive additional details for this event.
Parking: Free parking is available onsite.
Upon Arrival: Please plan to meet up with other survivors in the Museum Foyer by 12:15 p.m. Weekly guided drop-in tours begin at 1:00 p.m. every Saturday if this interests the group (meet in the Macomber Lobby by 1 p.m. if interested in the tour).
Attire: Casual attire. We encourage you to wear any TAPS attire you may have and/or a photo button of your loved one as this will allow you to more easily locate one another at the event.
What to Bring: Please a curious attitude.
Cost: Admission to the Art Center is free.
Notes: This event is wheelchair accessible. While we are promoting this event, it is not directly organized or hosted by TAPS. Therefore, TAPS will not have a presence at the event. This is simply an opportunity for our survivors to meet up, connect and build community within their local areas.
