Alaska Parents Retreat
Experience the beauty and serenity of Alaska as we connect with other surviving parents, create lifelong friendships and celebrate our heroes as we help each other move forward in our journey.
This retreat is rated as an intermediate intensity adventure. Activities will involve moderate physical activity and will challenge you, but do not include extreme adventures. You should expect to participate in some form of physical activity daily, including hiking/walking. Additionally, all participants will take part in the Anchorage Runfest as part of Team TAPS. We will run or walk a 5K or Half Marathon in honor of our heroes.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, TAPS will provide lodging, most meals and all activity costs. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide transportation to and from retreats.
Registration opens May 19th for survivors who have not attended a TAPS Retreat in the previous 12 months. If you attended a TAPS Retreat within the past year, we ask that you please wait 24 hours to register in order to allow new survivors the opportunity to experience a TAPS Retreat. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A wait list will form once the retreat reaches capacity.
A $50 deposit will be collected at the time of registration. At the conclusion of the retreat, you may choose to donate this deposit to TAPS to support future programs; otherwise it will be fully refunded to attendees.
