Youth Programs

TAPS offers support programs for children and teenagers grieving the death of a military family member. Led by caring professionals in the fields of child development, grief support, mental health, and education, TAPS Youth Programs provide safe spaces for military children to be supported in their grief while also experiencing fun, adventure, mentorship, and camaraderie.

 

 
 

Good Grief Camps »

At TAPS seminars, Good Grief Camp (GGC) is offered for children ages 5 years old and enrolled in kindergarten through teenagers under the age of 19 or enrolled in high school grieving the death of a military family member.

 
 
 

Family Camps »

These special weekends are for families with children ages 5 years old and enrolled in kindergarten through teenagers under the age of 19 or enrolled in high school and who are actively grieving the death of a military family member.

Online Resources »

Created by Youth Program's Group Leaders for children and teens, these online activities help children to get creative, to be mindful, to move their bodies, and be empowered, providing them a little piece of Good Grief Camp at home.

Legacy and Military Mentors »

If you are military active duty or a veteran or an adult survivor who has previously attended Good Grief Camp, volunteer to be a buddy to a surviving child honoring their loved one at a youth programs event.

In-Person Events »

TAPS Good Grief Camp is led by experts in the fields of child development, mental health and education. Family Camps provide a setting for building communication, understanding, and support within the family unit.

Attend webinars to discuss strageties to support youth in grief, online workshops for creative fun or meet with other parents and guardians to learn from each other and from expert guests.
