Recipes for Healing Wellness Weekend
All adult survivors 18 and older are invited to join TAPS for our Recipes for Healing Wellness Weekend.
The TAPS Inner Warrior Program will help you find and connect with a part of you that’s committed not just to surviving, but thriving. We’ll build resolve and courage and get stronger every day.
Focus on feeding the body and nourishing the soul at the TAPS Recipes for Healing Wellness Weekend at the T Bar M Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. We’ll stretch and sweat, then cook together and build lasting bonds. Each of us will contribute to the guided meal prep for the weekend.
Our friends at T Bar M Ranch will provide menu staples that the Inner Warrior team has carefully selected, so our small-group cooking sessions will be low pressure and high enjoyment. You’ll learn techniques for meal prep, stretch your own understanding of what food you like and don’t like, and learn ways to make healthy food as delicious as possible.
Feeding the body is about more than just food — it's also about rest and movement. We’ll explore how these concepts add to the recipe for healing. The more you know about how to relax, stretch, strengthen and heal, the easier it will be to create positive changes in your life.
Your growth won’t stop once the event ends. You'll gain an ongoing community of support with Inner Warrior coaches and peers to keep you inspired, encouraged and accountable.
Day 1: We’ll begin with dinner and our opening session around 6:30 p.m. Our first evening together will be one of fellowship and ceremony, setting the tone for our weekend of growth.
Day 2-3: Each day will start with a movement activity, and we’ll use movement as a recipe for healing throughout the weekend. We'll separate into groups, and each group will work together to provide at least one part of our main meals. It will be a great time for bonding, learning and exploring new ideas. You can also expect innovative, dynamic workouts that are accessible to all fitness levels and thoughtful relaxation sessions that will help you catch your breath.
Day 4: We'll wrap up our weekend together and say our goodbyes before we return home.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, TAPS will cover lodging, most meals, transportation while at the camp, health and wellness coaching, expert workshops, activities and a T-shirt. A $50 deposit will be collected at the time of registration. If your plans change unexpectedly, the fee is refundable until Nov. 5.
You'll be expected to cover the cost of your transportation to and from the event, some meals and your exercise gear (athletic shoes, fitness clothing, etc.).
The wellness camp will be held at the beautiful T Bar M Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. Lodging will be provided for all attendees at the retreat center. TAPS covers lodging at no cost to you, and we'll take care of booking your lodging for the event.
