TAPS survivors, military mentors, volunteers and others within the TAPS family are invited to join us at the TAPS - Band of Runners Trail Running Camp.

Learn how trail running can strengthen your heart, your legs, and your connections with nature and community at our first-ever partnership with Band of Runners. All types of runners in the TAPS family, from beginners to experienced, are welcome to join us in the Blue Ridge Mountains over Veterans Day weekend as we learn about trails, nature and the power of community at the TAPS - Band of Runners Trail Running Camp.

We all know the story … two paths diverge in a yellow wood. Some believe that the road (or in this case, the trail) you take “makes all the difference.” That may be true — but after you attend this event you will be able to take any trail you wish. Together we will get our footing — in life and on the trail.

During our weekend together, trail running coaches and experts will partner with survivors and veterans to support physical and mental health and endurance at Summit Initiatives, a team and training facility in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Schedule

The agenda includes multiple trail runs in the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as specialized instruction from elite and long-time trail runners covering training, technical trail running, hill running, running form, strength training nutrition, first aid and blister care, and night running. Nutritious meals, campfires, storytelling and fellowship are included.
