ABOUT THE RACES
The Ragnar Relay, a 200-mile Relay Race, and the Ragnar Trail Relay, a relay on rugged trail loops, are two-day events that will require you to summon your inner warrior and lean on your teammates to finish the race. Survivors who are able to handle the physical demands of training and the race are invited to apply.
Each teammate will run between nine to 20 miles. Worried about your speed or if you're going to need to walk? Don't be. We'll get there when we get there, but training is essential for this race. Training will start three months prior to the race, and you will train for three relay legs. You must be committed to training, or consistently in good running shape, so that you can complete three runs with only several hours of recovery. We will hold weekly training calls to share training plans and prepare for the race. View a Training Plan for beginning to intermediate runners.
TAPS will cover the cost of the race entry fee, lodging before and after the relay, and transportation during the relay. TAPS will also provide illuminated running vests and a team shirt. You will need to cover the cost of travel to and from the event location, all meals and your running supplies (shoes, etc.).
