TAPS Young Adults Lake Placid Olympic Fall Experience
The TAPS Young Adults Experience offers one-of-a-kind opportunities across the country to TAPS Survivors ages 18-30. These experiences promote care, peer connection and personal well-being. In building a Community of peers, we offer survivors a safe space to be themselves, have fun, and focus on well-being and personal development.

OVERVIEW
The TAPS Young Adults Lake Placid Fall Olympic Experience is offered to our Survivors ages 18-30, September 10-14, 2025. Survivors will participate in this inspiring program partnering with Olympic and; Community Leaders, Coaches and Athletes. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in once-in-a-lifetime activities such as bobsled, curling, luge, skating, “ice house starts” and more. Programming will lean into building peer connections and; community as we Heal Out Loud! and learn to live after loss.
SCHEDULE
Wed, Sept. 10: Participants will arrive to check-in at the lodge and get settled. Attendees may fly-in to the Albany, NY airport or drive directly to the lodge. Programming begins with our welcome “Fireside chat” Wednesday evening. Survivors will have time to connect and get to know other attendees as we relax, share and build community.
Thurs-Sat., Sept. 11-13: Survivors will start the day with breakfast as we get ready for a day full of activities and connection. We will spend each day participating in once-in-a-lifetime activities and programs that focus on building confidence, challenging yourself and connecting with peers. Activities and programming will be centered around providing opportunities to grow and focus on personal well-being as we Heal Out Loud! Attendees will visit the Lake Placid Olympic Venues (Legacy Sites) and participate in activities such as luge, skeleton, bobsled, skating, curling, climbing and more. Evenings will include a delicious meal, often followed by a fireside chat. Don’t count out the incredible “cold plunge” that might be offered. This impactful location, community and experience has been transformative for previous survivors who attended and we are excited to offer it again.
