TAPS Education Care Package
TAPS Education Support Services is excited to open the application period to sign up to receive the spring Education Care Package for incoming college freshmen. These care packages are for surviving children and siblings headed off to college as a freshman in the spring 2020 semester.
Every care package includes a variety of items for young adults, including a TAPS Education Resource Report — a specialized document with information on the federal, state, and private education benefits and scholarships the survivor may be eligible for, information about on-campus support available at the survivor’s university or college, information on the school certifying official, and other programs for which he or she may qualify for. Also included in the care package are a variety of fun and useful items to help the student get started at college while honoring his or her loved one.
Fill out the form below to request your TAPS Education Care Package; open now through November 29, 2019. The packages will ship by the end of December. As there are limited quantities available, care packages will be offered only to surviving children and siblings heading into their freshman year of college in the spring semester of 2020.
Please note, that if a student is entering college as a freshman in the fall semester of 2020, those care package applications will open in early March of 2020 and will be disbursed at our TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar for Good Grief Camp attendees or mailed over the summer.
