State Survivor Benefits For Delaware
Educational Benefits For Children Of Deceased Veterans
ELIGIBILITY
- Children between the ages of 16 and 24
- Service member's cause of death must have been ruled line of duty
- Service member must have been a resident of Delaware at time of death, student must be a resident of Delaware for at least three years when applying
- Can be used with federal benefits
BENEFITS
- Tuition and fees at any public college in Delaware
- Tuition and fees at any private institution or out-of-state institution if program of study is not available at a public in-state college
- Does not include room, board or books
- Award is limited to four years
DOCUMENTS
- Copy of DD1300 or DD214
- Copy of service member's death certificate
- Proof of residency
- Application
Application due date: Six weeks prior to the start of class
