TAPS College Experience for Teens and Guardians

The TAPS College Experience for Teens and Parents is a 3-day college preparatory experience held every summer in Arlington, Virginia. Surviving military children who are rising high school Sophomores and Juniors along with their guardians will get the chance to meet with experts in multiple areas of higher education. Students and their guardians will learn critical skills such as writing personal essays, college choice, funding and networking, as well as everything they need to know about the benefits available for college.

 

Application Opens April 8 to May 2

Fees

Thanks to the generosity of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, TAPS is able to provide lodging, meals, activities and supplies for all attendees. 

 

Lodging and Transportation

Lodging is provided in Arlington, Virginia for all attendees. TAPS covers the cost of lodging.

Attendees cover the cost of transportation to and from the event to include airfare. Please do not make travel arrangements until you are contacted after registering.

 

How to Apply

This is an application based event so children will be required to complete an application and write an essay. Spots are limited, and applications are available each spring.
