OVERVIEW

The TAPS Store seeks to promote awareness of the TAPS mission by offering stylish and affordable TAPS branded merchandise for our TAPS family and fans. We aim for our merchandise to spark conversations all over the world about the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes and their families.

 

DESCRIPTION

The TAPS Store seeks to promote awareness of the TAPS mission by offering stylish and affordable TAPS branded merchandise for our TAPS family and fans. We aim for our merchandise to spark conversations all over the world about the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes and their families.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the TAPS Store inventory, projecting needs and placing orders for merchandise at affordable cost
  • Provide branded products to other departments to support TAPS programming as requested by the leadership team
  • Fulfill online orders with an extra personal touch
  • Address customer inquiries, requests or complaints promptly and in a caring and professional manner
  • Maintain the TAPS Store website
  • Work with the communications team to create the magazine ad and other appropriate marketing materials
  • Initiate periodic sales, coupon codes and appropriate holiday marketing campaigns while being sensitive to the difficulties our families have with some holidays
  • Work with the seminars team to plan the logistics of in person pop-up stores at national events using a methodical backwards planning approach
  • File monthly financial and expense reports and report donations to development team
  • Listen to feedback from surviving families and work with the leadership team to design new products that follow the TAPS branding guidelines
  • Source products at affordable prices
  • Support the TAPS mission as requested by the leadership team

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Outstanding customer service skills and a genuine desire to serve the families of the fallen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities and keen attention to detail
  • An eye for creativity and the ability to create visually appealing web pages and store displays
  • Experience working in a retail environment
  • Experience maintaining a website
  • Experience using the Adobe suite or other graphic design and photo editing software
  • Experience creating financial reports and familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience in product design and the appropriate use of branding
  • Some marketing experience preferred
  • Experience managing volunteers preferred
  • Experience using Shopify a plus
  • Some product photography skills a plus

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Physical effort/lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Occasional work on weekends and holidays
  • Occasional travel

Commensurate with experience
