TAPS Honored as 2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit

Organization for Families of Fallen Heroes Recognized for Exceptional Care

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Nov. 8, 2017

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2017 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, a leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“TAPS is proud to be recognized as a Top-Rated 2017 Nonprofit, an honor based upon the large number of positive reviews we have received – reviews written by surviving military family members, volunteers and donors,” said Bonnie Carroll, TAPS President and Founder. “We rely on the generosity and support of the American people to perform our mission, and they should feel confident that our resources are being used efficiently and responsibly to provide our critical programs that provide hope and healing to the families of our fallen military heroes.”

“TAPS is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in the community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with TAPS.”

In addition to its recognition on the Top-Rated list, TAPS will be featured in the GreatNonprofits #GivingTuesday Guide, an interactive guide to top nonprofits throughout the years. In July, TAPS was once again awarded a four-star rating by Charity Navigator, has an “A” rating from CharityWatch and has earned the “Best in America” seal of approval from America’s Best Charities.
