Webinar: Healing From Loss, Before and After It Happens
Dealing effectively with loss begins before it happens, with a conscious effort to fully appreciate people we care about and the commitment to healing wounds we may have inflicted on them or they on us. If we live fully with loving commitment to ourselves and others, we prepare the way for a mourning enriched by a fulfilled relationship and uncontaminated by guilt and shame.
When loss does come, it should bring us together, in celebration as well as sorrow, to share grief and memories.
In this talk, I'll provide guidelines for living and caring fully in the present moment, for coming together in grief, and for honoring the many different ways that each member of a family grieves for the one whom they've all lost. I will refer to my book, Transforming Trauma: The Path to Hope and Healing, and will share one or more of the self-care techniques I describe, techniques which have proved powerfully effective for those who are grieving.
