Presented by the TAPS Institute for Hope and Healing®, this webinar features Vicki Jay, CEO of the National Alliance for Grieving Children, and Bob Arrington, Chair of the Funeral Service Foundation and President of Arrington Funeral Directors. They will address developmental differences in understanding how children respond to grief; discuss ways to help children through specific types of losses, such as sudden loss; and offer tangible suggestions for rituals and other activities professionals can use when working with grieving children.

Vicki Jay’s 19-year hospice career included 10 years as founder and executive director of Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Center. She is recognized for her role in children’s advocacy and for her strengths in public speaking and community education. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Jefferson Award for Community Service.
Bob Arrington
 
Bob Arrington, Chair, Funeral Service Foundation; Arrington Funeral DirectorsBob Arrington founded Arrington Funeral Directors in 1995 in Jackson, TN. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association in 2000 and appointed to the Tennessee State Board of Funeral Directors in 2002, serving as State Board President in 2005. He has also held leadership positions with the National Funeral Directors Association.
