Educational Benefits For Children Of Deceased Veterans

ELIGIBILITY

  • Children between the ages of 16 and 24
  • Service member's cause of death must have been ruled line of duty
  • Service member must have been a resident of Delaware at time of death, student must be a resident of Delaware for at least three years when applying
  • Can be used with federal benefits

BENEFITS

  • Tuition and fees at any public college in Delaware
  • Tuition and fees at any private institution or out-of-state institution if program of study is not available at a public in-state college
  • Does not include room, board or books
  • Award is limited to four years

DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of DD1300 or DD214
  • Copy of service member's death certificate
  • Proof of residency
  • Application

Application due date: Six weeks prior to the start of class
