Premier Nashville Songwriters Come Together in Colorado Springs to Benefit Families of Fallen Military Heroes
Second Annual Songwriters Show & Dinner Supports Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)

ARLINGTON, Va. – A lineup of country music stars will come together in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sept. 28, 2019 for the Saluting Our Fallen Heroes Songwriters Show & Dinner to support the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), the leading national nonprofit organization caring for the families of our nation’s fallen military.
The event will feature country music stars Andy Griggs, Frank Myers, Brett Jones and Jimmy Nichols, songwriters behind Billboard-topping country hits, “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely,” “You and I,” “Once Upon a Lifetime,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll” and numerous others. The musicians will perform to support families of fallen military heroes, who will be present at the program to share poignant stories of their loved ones and how they have found support, hope and healing through programs and services offered by TAPS.
TAPS complements the honors rendered and benefits given to bereaved military families by the government and expands that care to all who are grieving the death of a military loved one. For over 25 years, TAPS has provided ongoing emotional support, resources, comfort and care to more than 90,000 surviving military family members, giving them a national network of trained peers, camps and retreats for all ages. The organization also offers casework services including financial assistance, connections to community-based care and a 24/7 helpline, all available at no cost to all who are grieving a fallen hero.
The Saluting Our Fallen Heroes Songwriters Show & Dinner is organized by the TAPS Colorado Executive Committee, which comprises Lynne and Bo Cottrell, General (Ret.) Gene and Jill Renuart, Lt. General (Ret.) Mike and Col. (Ret.) Paula Gould, Tom and Jill Tarver, and Kelly and Bill Eustace.
