Young Adults Community Connections: Tybee Island Beach Day & Picnic

This event is open to military Young Adult survivors.

All survivors ages 18 to 30 are invited to join us on Sunday, April 20 for a day connecting, building community and relaxing on beautiful Tybee Island, Georgia — just outside of Savannah. Participants will gather to spend the day relaxing on the beach, engaging in beach activities and connecting with Peers. We will have a picnic lunch and spend the afternoon exploring parts of Tybee Island, including the Tybee lighthouse.

Please remember that our entire day will be spent outside. If you have specific needs and accommodations, please be sure to list them in your registration in the spaces provided. 

Please register by April 18, 2025 to secure your space. A picnic lunch and water will be provided for all participants.

Registration is required: Once TAPS receives your registration confirmation, you will be sent additional details for this event.

Location: Tybee Island, Georgia 31328

Meet-up Time: 10:00 a.m.

Upon Arrival: TAPS Staff members, Sammi Hester and Katie Langer, will be there to greet you and direct you to registration and event activities.

Attire: Casual beach attire. We encourage you to bring a photo button or picture of your loved one to share. Please dress for the weather, as our entire day will be outside.

Cost: Free. A picnic lunch and water will be provided for all participants.

What to Bring: Beach towel, swimsuit/coverup, beach chair if desired, water bottle, comfortable shoes for walking, sunscreen, lip balm, money for souvenirs, small day pack to carry items. Beach items you may have and enjoy welcome. No alcohol at this event.
