Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Registration Close Date: August 1, 2022

This event is open to all military survivors.

Your TAPS family is in your community!

We welcome you to join local survivors on a guided tour of the Louisiana Governor's Mansion. Since it was built in 1963, the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion has been the official residence of nine Louisiana governors. Beginning with the administration of Jimmie Davis, the mansion has served as a home to the First Family of Louisiana and a place to conduct state business. On a visit to the home, guests can travel back in time and experience a piece of the state’s past. The Louisiana Governor’s Mansion is one of the most beautiful governors’ homes in the United States, as well as one of the few that is open to tours; the public can enjoy the history that is showcased within its walls and the beauty of the grounds. Tickets are first come first serve. We hope you can join us.

About TAPS Togethers

Community is important!  This is why we create a broad variety of opportunities to bring the TAPS family together.  TAPS Togethers are one-day, organized, social events across the country, led by TAPS Staff or a survivor like you, with the goal of expanding our peer support community.

If there is not a TAPS Togethers event in your area, consider hosting one. You know your community best! Perhaps you know of a simple cost-effective way to bring TAPS families together for a day of hope and healing in your area. We would love to hear from you! Please submit your idea and we will connect with you to explore the possibilities.
