Video: Brett Jones Teaches Music as a Healing Tool to Children of the Fallen

Author: TAPS Media

You may know some of the hit country songs Brett Jones has written, songs like "That's How Country Boys Roll" and "If Heaven wasn't So Far Away," but did you know he's also a surviving military sibling? Brett’s brother, U.S. Navy LTJG James Grady Jones was killed in Vietnam in 1966. Brett knows what it's like to lose a military family member, and, today, helps kids who, like him, have lost a loved one to military service.

You can find Brett at the TAPS annual National Military Survivor Seminars where he not only gives each child a guitar, but he teaches them how to use it. Thank you, Brett, for the love and support you show our TAPS family and for sharing the healing power of music with us.
