Veterans Dependents Tuition Waiver

ELIGIBILITY

  • Children, stepchildren and unremarried spouses
  • Children must be under the age of 23 when applying for a bachelors waiver, can be over 23 if applying for a graduate waiver
  • Service members death must have occurred while on active duty regardless of cause
  • Student must be an Oregon resident, service member does not have to have been
  • Cannot be used with federal benefits

BENEFITS

  • Waiver of tuition only
  • Does not cover room, board, books or fees
  • Must be used within the Oregon University System
  • Can be used for a maximum of 4 years for undergraduate degree and a maximum of 2 years for a graduate degree

DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of DD214 military record or DD1300
  • Copy of student’s birth certificate
  • Tuition waiver application
  • Proof of residency

Application due date: At least 14 days prior to the start of the term
