Online Workshop Series: Parenting Grieving Children

This group meets quarterly the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Parents or guardians of grieving children are encouraged to take part in all workshops in the series. We request you sign up at least 24 hours before you attend your first session so that we can ensure the integrity of the group and answer any questions you may have.

This online group was developed for parents and guardians wondering how they can support their grieving children. Created specifically to be a safe place for parents and guardians to learn from each other and from expert guests, the Parenting Grieving Children Group is formatted to provide time for open discussion as well as space to pose questions, exchange ideas, and share practical ways to engage grieving children and teenagers.

What to Expect
Our time will begin with a topic-driven visual presentation and/or panel of guest speakers moderated by a member of the Youth Programs Staff. We will have ample time for attendees to ask questions either verbally on camera or by typing in the Chat. Youth Programs Staff Moderator will follow up with attendees within a few business days should additional support be requested.
Please remember that, while we anticipate that these groups will become engaging, encouraging community gathering “places,” you never have to wait if you need to talk. We’re always here for you, 24 hours, 7 days a week, year-round, at 800-959-8277.
Community Guidelines
We ask that you log onto Zoom 5 minutes prior to each session as we will start our online group promptly at start time listed above. Please review our Community Guidelines to one another in advance of joining. Admission to each session will close to admission at 10 minutes after the start time.
How to Participate
- All sessions require registration through the TAPS Zoom Account (look for the blue sign up button at the top of this page).
- All sessions will take place via Zoom. Meeting access information will be sent to you after you sign up.
- Reminder emails will be sent before each session.
