Against the backdrop of forested volcanic mountains, coral reefs and magnificent beaches, you'll plunge deeply into awareness, authenticity and appreciation.

Almost every part of life has spiritual meaning to the Balinese, and you'll become a part of these celebrations and traditions. Whether weaving flowers as offerings or spending time with the spiritual master featured in Elizabeth Gilbert's book, "Eat, Pray, Love," you'll experience life like the locals and magic in the world around you. Find nourishment, enlightenment and renewal on this journey to Bali.

TAPS self-funded travel opportunities are open to all survivors over age 18, including parents, widows, adult children, siblings, battle buddies, extended family, etc.

SCHEDULE

Our itinerary is designed by Spirit Quest Tours and features the best Bali has to offer. We’ll learn how the Balinese pray and worship and be treated to insights about Balinese life by our guides Hari and Yanta. Optional morning meditations and yoga sessions each day flow into macrobiotic local breakfasts, setting the tone for discovery and self-care. Visits to holy sites, wildlife sanctuaries, markets and craft studios round out the schedule.

Participants will hike through rural villages, place offerings at some of Bali’s most famous temples, have time to relax and listen to the sounds of peace and paradise, and connect to the joyful exploration of internal and external landscapes.

TRIP FEES

Self-funded travel opportunity costs are not covered by TAPS. The tour fee is $3,600 per person based on double occupancy and $4,595 per person based on single occupancy. This does not include your airfare to Denpasar International Airport (DPS), visas or passport fees. Fees for the trip will be paid directly to our partners at Spirit Quest Tours. The fee does include most meals, all lodging and transportation, and daily activities that will reconnect you with your own quest for nourishment, enlightenment and renewal.

LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION

You’ll need to cover the cost of your airfare to and from Denpasar International Airport (DPS). Travel from the United States to Indonesia can take more than one day due to time differences. Please book your flights to arrive in Bali on Friday, Sept. 1.

Your trip fee covers all lodging and transportation during our time in Bali.

Pricing is based on double-occupancy per room. If you don’t submit a rooming request, we will match you with a roommate. If you would prefer a single room, please indicate that in the questionnaire and understand that a single room adds additional cost to your trip. As we prepare to leave for the trip, we’ll have a chance to get to know our fellow TAPS family travelers in a Facebook group and through regular conference calls.

APPLICATION DETAILS

Please fill out the event questionnaire by June 23 at 5 p.m. ET. Spots for the trip will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Survivors will be notified in late June of selection status. All participants must agree to the TAPS Travel Code of Conduct.
