Join us at the Cape Cod Ragnar Relay race, a challenge that will push you to your limits and strengthen your resolve.

The Ragnar Relay is a 200-mile relay race that will take you across scenic beaches and through some of Cape Cod's most iconic towns. This two-day event will require you to summon your inner warrior and lean on your teammates.

The Ragnar Relay team will be made up of 12 survivors who are able to handle the physical demands of conquering the 200-mile relay race from Hull to Provincetown, Massachusetts. We will train together in the months leading up to the race and build a sense of camaraderie that will get us through any obstacle.

SCHEDULE

Day 1: On our first day together, we'll get to know each other, hand out gear, talk about logistics and expectations and prep for the race.

Day 2: We'll start as early as we can, kicking the relay off in Hull, Massachusetts. Amid the cheers of a crowd, against the backdrop of the beach and with a determination that will make us feel close to our loved ones, our first van of teammates will kick off the relay.

Day 3: On Saturday afternoon, we'll meet in Provincetown, Massachusetts, cheering on the second van's sixth runner at the finish line. By the end of the day, we'll all be glad to see beds and showers (and also each other).

Day 4: Our time together concludes with a team meeting and wrap-up session in the morning. We'll reflect on what we've done over breakfast together.

RELAY FEES

TAPS will cover the cost of the race entry fee, lodging before and after the relay and transportation during the relay at no cost to you. TAPS will also provide illuminated running vests and a team shirt.

You will need to cover the cost of travel to and from the event, all meals and your running gear.

LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION

You will need to cover the cost of your transportation to and from Massachusetts. We will coordinate airport pickups if you choose to fly. The closest airport is Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Plan to arrive at either our hotel or the airport by 6 p.m. Thursday, and plan your Sunday travel after noon. If you choose to arrive on Wednesday, you will be responsible for your own lodging. Please understand, too, that we will be running through the night on Friday. There will be places to catch a few hours of sleep at the major exchanges, but there is no formal lodging on Friday night (it's awesome).

SKILL LEVEL

Each teammate will run between nine to 20 miles. Worried about your speed or if you're going to need to walk? Don't be. We'll get there when we get there, but training is essential for this race. Training will start prior to the race, and you will train for three relay legs. You must be committed to training, or staying in good running shape, so that you can complete three runs with only several hours of recovery. We will hold weekly calls to share training plans and prepare for the race. View a training plan for beginning to intermediate runners.
