Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday April 12th, TAPS is holding our annual Honor Guard Gala. This formal event is held in our Nation's Capital to raise funds for TAPS, and allows us to honor the amazing supporters who fund our mission. Not the typical TAPS event, survivors at the gala represent the story of the larger TAPS family and help us thank our supporters who make it possible to care for families of America's fallen heroes. You'll be seated with donors and supporters who fund our vital mission.

The main focus of the evening will be recognizing our partners and sponsors including National Basketball Association and USA Basketball. Survivors will have a chance to honor our heroes at the end of the night, onstage with one another and photos of our loved ones.

TAPS Gala

2016 Gala

Ideally TAPS would be able to invite all military survivors to join us for this special evening. However, due to space constraints, we can only have a certain number of attendees. TAPS encourages anyone who is interested in joining us to register for a lottery.  TAPS has 50 spots for military survivors, if we receive more than 50 responses, we will hold a lottery to select attendees. The application period ends March 1st and TAPS will notify all applicants via email by March 13th whether or not they were chosen.

Please note that we can only offer seats to survivors, and we aren't able to offer slots to friends who may wish to join you. In addition, you may only request two tickets per lottery application. If there are more than 2 individuals in your household who wish to attend, you'll need to fill out a separate application for those family members.

TAPS can not cover hotel or travel to the event, but if you are selected, we can offer suggestions for hotel accommodations.

For more information on the gala, and photos from last year's event, visit www.taps.org/gala. We hope you consider joining us for an extraordinary evening with fellow military survivors, TAPS supporters, community partners, and our military leaders.
