Michelle Palmer, LICSW, Executive Director of the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing will provide tools for navigating the holidays after the loss of a loved one.

Michelle Palmer is the Executive Director of the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing, a mental health agency specializing in issues related to grief/loss and trauma. Ms. Palmer has been living and working in D.C. for 15 years. Prior to serving as the Executive Director, Ms. Palmer worked for Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders in Zimbabwe, Africa, where she developed a sexual and gender based violence response unit in the Midlands Province that was then replicated throughout Zimbabwe. Ms. Palmer’s professional areas of expertise include HIV/AIDS, grief/loss, and trauma. She received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
