FOR Widows and Significant Others

Journey to the "Last Frontier" as we experience the beauty, serenity and adventure of Alaska! This retreat may include activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding and skiing, and a visit to the Ceremonial Start of the world famous Iditarod. Connect with fellow surviving spouses, fiancées and significant others as we challenge ourselves to step beyond our comfort zones and create life-long friendships amidst the mountains and glaciers of Alaska.

ADVENTURE LEVEL

This retreat is rated as a challenging adventure. These are our most physically demanding retreats. Activities will challenge you and may involve heavy physical exertion, demanding environments and extreme adventures. Heights may be part of the experience.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, TAPS will provide lodging, most meals and all activity costs. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide transportation to and from retreats.

Registration will open in early January 2016 for survivors who have not attended a TAPS Retreat in the previous 12 months. If you attended a TAPS Retreat within the past year, we ask that you please wait 24 hours to register in order to allow new survivors the opportunity to experience a TAPS Retreat. (Please note that attendance at TAPS Seminars, including the National Military Survivor Seminar, is not included in this restriction.) Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A wait list will be formed for those who register after we have reached capacity.

A $50 deposit will be collected at the time of registration. At the conclusion of the retreat, you may choose to donate this deposit to TAPS to support future programs; otherwise it will be fully refunded to attendees.

If you have any questions, please email RETREATS@TAPS.ORG or call 800-959-8277.
