Remission Of Fees For The Children Of A Disabled Veteran

ELIGIBILITY

  • Children only
  • Cause of death must be ruled line of duty, during a period of war; suicides are covered provided it can be proved that they were service connected (post-traumatic stress)
  • Service member must have been an Indiana state resident for at least 36 months at some point in their life. Student must meet in-state tuition requirements to be eligible.
  • Can be used with federal benefits

BENEFITS

  • Waiver of tuition and fees for 124 credit hours
  • Does not cover room, board or books
  • Can be used for graduate studies
  • Must be used at an Indiana state-funded post-secondary institution

DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of DD1300 or DD214
  • Copy of service member's death certificate
  • Proof of residency
  • FASFA
  • Proof of academic standing

Application due date: Due at least 30 days prior to the end of the semester
