Support our Families who are grieving a Military Loss

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) and Cars.com are partnering to raise awareness about the care and resources TAPS provides for all those who have lost a loved one whose legacy included military service.

Bonnie Carroll, TAPS Founder and President, said, “This partnership will allow us to use the incredible reach of Cars.com to connect with military families across the country who need the care, compassion and resources that only TAPS can provide.”  Carroll, a 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, continued, “We are also grateful that Cars.com will help us to reach supporters to help fund these critical programs.”

After the death of a military loved one, the families left behind face unique and unexpected challenges in securing benefits, finding resources to pay for college, and emergency financial challenges that burden these families while they struggle with their grief. These can include rent, medical expenses, vehicle repairs, moving expenses, insurance and reliable transportation.

“Cars.com is happy to use our website and app to drive awareness of TAPS, and the much-needed counseling and financial services they provide for families of fallen soldiers, to our nearly 19 million monthly visitors,” said Alex Vetter, Chief Executive Officer of Cars.com.   “Our partnership aims to show the appreciation Cars.com, our dealer partners and the greater community have for military families by alleviating some of their financial stress related life-critical needs.”
