Viecore FSD is hosting its fourth annual charity golf tournament benefiting TAPS, to be held on Friday, September 30th, 2011, at the Ruggles Golf Course in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This event will raise thousands of dollars in much needed assistance for families of fallen servicemen and women. Last year, the tournament raised over $45,000. While this is the tournament’s first year in Maryland, we expect a terrific turnout once again with strong support from area businesses, as well as attendance from the Washington DC community and beyond.

Tee time is 9:00 am and will be preceded by a continental breakfast. A buffet lunch is also included, starting at 12:00 noon. The format will be a four-person scramble and will be shotgun start! There will be prizes for the winning teams, as well as hole prizes, putting contests, long drive and a prize drawing. Thanks to Hinder Ford of Maryland there is also a chance to win a 2012 Ford car, a trip to SeaMist Resort, SC, a set of Callaway Diablo 3-iron clubs, and $500 apparel gift certificate for a lucky hole-in-one!

The cost to play is:

• $100 per individual ($75 per Military/Government)
• $400 per foursome ($300 for Military/Government foursome)

There are also several corporate sponsorship packages. By becoming a sponsor, you will be helping a wonderful support network that benefits the surviving families of those who have died in service to our country. TAPS is a private 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable corporation and contributions to the golf event are partially tax-deductible.
