Judith Mathewson

Judith Mathewson is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force (National Guard) at Patrick AFB, FL. She has volunteered for 15 years with TAPS as the Director of the Good Grief Camp. Her responsibilities include working with families, the volunteers and the coordination and planning of the Camp in Washington DC each Memorial Day.

  

Lt Col Mathewson taught special needs high school students, served as a Critical Incident Stress Management team member, and is a mental health counselor, with emphasis on children and families. She is a certified Advanced Bereavement Facilitator and coordinates services for returning veterans and their families.

 

She is presently finishing her PhD studies in Marriage and Family therapy.
