Survivor Seminar 2007

13th Annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar

and Good Grief Camp for Young Survivors

May 25-28, 2007

Double Tree Hotel, 300 Army Navy Drive, Crystal City (Arlington), VA

8:00 Registration opens for Good Grief Camp

12:00 GGC begins with lunch and introductions

1:00 Special Guests and special activities for each age

group

EVENING ACTIVITY:

5:00 GGC evening activities at the Hotel with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey

10:00 Adults rejoin kids for the night

8:00 Breakfast

8:30 Good Grief Camp starts for the day with activities and age-appropriate support groups

11:30 Bus departs for Ft. Myer

12:00 Lunch at Ft. Myer Dining; Caisson visit

3:30 A visit to the Washington, DC monuments

7:00 Evening Grief Activities with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey

10:00 Adults rejoin kids for the night

8:00 Breakfast

8:30 GGC starts for the day with activities and support groups

10-11 Memorial Balloon Release

11:30 Lunch for children at the hotel

12:30 Group activities; GGC Memorial Service

2:00 Closing Session, Circus performance

4:00 Closing ceremonies with adults

5:00 Dinner on your own

6:30 National Symphony Orchestra Concert at the US Capitol (attending with adults)

7:00 Breakfast

7:30 Honor Guard and children with flags and wreath head to Arlington

7:45 Transportation to Arlington National Cemetery for the Ceremonies at Arlington

1:00 Early bus returns to hotel

2:00 Last bus returns to hotel after wreath laying
