TAPS Blog | Today on the TAPS Blog, surviving father Bob Bagosy reflects on September 11, 2001 and how it was in essence the beginning of his new normal. He speaks about how the tragedy hit very close to home for him and his family. He shares how his son Tommy later joined the Marine Corps to serve and defend his country. He writes, "As a family, we all supported Tommy with his choice. Our family was proud of Tommy; we felt it was our family patriotic response to the safety of America."

  Press Release | Hundreds of millions of dollars in private scholarships and education benefits exist for families of fallen military service members, but many of these families struggle to pay higher education costs, because they do not know these benefits exist. An event at the National Press Club on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 10:00am-11:00am will debut a new program to help these families.

Sep 17   TAPS Colorado Good Grief Camp Out Provides Comfort and Fun for Children Grieving a Military Death
  Press Release | Children and teens ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one serving in the Armed Forces, will enjoy a fun overnight camping experience this weekend organized by TAPS. The TAPS Colorado Good Grief Camp Out is a three-day, two-night camping experience filled with traditional and fun camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support. Grieving military children and teens build peer connections and find support in knowing that there are others their own ages who understand what they are feeling and experiencing. Grieving children leave camp with coping skills for dealing with their losses that last long after camp ends
