AIS Gives Holiday Support to TAPS Families
AIS has partnered with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) since 2011 in support of military survivors.TAPS offers compassionate care to all those grieving a military loss. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
When you lose someone you love, the holiday season takes on a whole new meaning. Many military family budgets, often stretched to their limits, do not contain much money for the holidays. This is especially true for those families who have lost a military loved one. TAPS Casework Team offers funding in the form of gift cards to purchase food for their holiday meal and gifts for the children.
