What really goes on during a TAPS Good Grief Camp for older children who are grieving the death of a parent or sibling who died while serving their country? This insightful piece offers an intimate look - using the voices of real teens and active duty military service members - to share their thoughts and feelings. Chelsea Carter writes, "loss has forever altered a time in their lives when they should be looking forward to the possibilities rather than looking back at what could have been." With the help and support of their mentors and each other, these teens find a safe place to share their feelings and cope. Watch a video and read their incredible story online.

As I went through the news, I read that the numbers of suicides of active-duty members was at 154 suicides in the first 155 days of 2012. Are you kdding me, one life is taken everyday because of the hopelessness. That there is no other choice or no one cares! God help us if we can't help those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so we can live here in freedom! What have we become? My wife and I have been working with the grief issue for years. It has become one of if not the biggest problems we face in the world today! No one can escape it.My wife has written a book on grief and a journal. If you don't have the the time or the help, send them to the web site, facebook. As long as they have a safe place that they can go, to talk to ask questions. Whatever they might need we all need to help in some way!
